Rune Klakegg is a Norwegian musician, composer, and producer. He is best known for his work with the band A-ha, for which he was the keyboardist and backing vocalist from 1982 to 1988. He has also released several solo albums and collaborated with other artists. Klakegg was born in Skien Municipality, Norway, and began playing the piano at the age of five. He studied music at the University of Oslo and the Norwegian Academy of Music. He joined A-ha in 1982 and was a member of the band until 1988. During his time with the band, he wrote and co-wrote several songs, including "Take On Me" and "The Sun Always Shines on TV". Klakegg has released several solo albums, including "Rune Klakegg" (1989), "The Big Picture" (1995), and "The Best of Rune Klakegg" (2005). He has also collaborated with other artists, including Morten Harket, Paul Waaktaar-Savoy, and Magne Furuholmen. Klakegg is currently married to his wife, Kari, and they have two children.
