Konstantin Irmen-Tschet was a Russian cinematographer and special effects artist. He was born in Moscow in 1902 and began his career in the early 1920s. He worked on a number of films, including the classic Soviet science fiction film Aelita (1924). He also worked on the first Soviet feature film, The Battleship Potemkin (1925). In the 1930s, Irmen-Tschet worked on a number of films, including the classic Soviet musical comedy Circus (1936). He also worked on the first Soviet animated feature film, The Snow Queen (1957). In the 1960s, Irmen-Tschet worked on a number of films, including the classic Soviet science fiction film Solaris (1972). He also worked on the first Soviet space opera, Star Wars (1977). Konstantin Irmen-Tschet died in Moscow in 1983. He was 81 years old.
