John Ratzenberger is an American actor, voice actor, and entrepreneur. He is best known for his role as Cliff Clavin in the long-running American sitcom Cheers. He has also appeared in all of the Pixar films, voicing characters in each of them. Ratzenberger has also appeared in numerous films and television shows, including The Empire Strikes Back, The Simpsons, and The Muppets. Ratzenberger was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the son of Bertha (née Verney) and Deszo Alexander Ratzenberger. He has two sisters, Terry and Jan. He attended St. Ann's School in Bridgeport and Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, Connecticut. Ratzenberger began his career as a stage actor, appearing in numerous plays and musicals. He made his film debut in the 1979 film The Empire Strikes Back. He then went on to appear in numerous films and television shows, including Cheers, The Simpsons, and The Muppets. Ratzenberger has also voiced characters in all of the Pixar films, including Hamm in Toy Story, P.T. Flea in A Bug's Life, The Underminer in The Incredibles, and Mustafa in Ratatouille.
