Evan Lowenstein is an American singer-songwriter, actor, and entrepreneur. He is best known as one half of the pop-rock duo Evan and Jaron, which he formed with his twin brother Jaron Lowenstein. He has also appeared in films such as The Hot Chick and The House Bunny. Lowenstein was born in Atlanta, Georgia, and raised in a Jewish family. He attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he majored in English and minored in music. After graduating, he and his brother formed Evan and Jaron, and released their debut album, We've Never Heard of You Either, in 1999. The album spawned the hit single "Crazy for This Girl," which reached number 8 on the Billboard Hot 100. Lowenstein has also appeared in several films, including The Hot Chick, The House Bunny, and The Last Song. He has also appeared in television shows such as The O.C., CSI: Miami, and The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. Lowenstein is currently the CEO of StageIt, an online platform that allows musicians to perform live concerts for their fans. He is also the co-founder of the music streaming service, Music Mastermind.
