She began her musical career at the age of 15, when she joined the band La Fuga. She later went on to study music at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Córdoba. Vega has released four solo albums, Vega (2004), El Tiempo de las Cerezas (2006), El Tiempo de las Cerezas: Edición Especial (2007), and El Tiempo de las Cerezas: Edición Deluxe (2008). She has also composed the soundtracks for several films, including The Impossible (2012), The Orphanage (2007), and The Skin I Live In (2011). Vega has won several awards for her work, including the Goya Award for Best Original Score for The Impossible in 2013, and the Goya Award for Best Original Song for The Orphanage in 2008.
