Phil Donkin is a British jazz bassist born in Sunderland, England on November 1980. He is best known for his work with the likes of Jamie Cullum, Gregory Porter, and Liane Carroll. He has also performed with the likes of John Scofield, John McLaughlin, and Herbie Hancock. Donkin began playing bass at the age of 14 and went on to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He has since gone on to become one of the most sought-after bassists in the UK jazz scene. Donkin has released two solo albums, ‘The Phil Donkin Project’ and ‘The Phil Donkin Quartet’, and has also appeared on numerous albums as a sideman. He has toured extensively throughout Europe, the US, and Japan. Donkin is currently based in London and is a member of the Jamie Cullum Trio. He is also a member of the London Jazz Orchestra and the London Jazz Collective. As of 2021, Phil Donkin's net worth is estimated to be around $1 million.
