She has appeared in numerous television series, including The Bill, Casualty, and The Storyteller. She also had a recurring role in the BBC drama series The House of Eliott. Annett has also appeared in several films, including The World Is Not Enough, The Mummy Returns, and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. She has also provided the voice of Kryten in the Red Dwarf video game. Annett is married to actor and director Richard Armitage, with whom she has two children. She currently resides in London.
