Yoshie Takeshita is a Japanese volleyball player who has been playing professionally since 1997. She has represented Japan in the Olympics, World Championships, and Asian Games. She was part of the Japanese team that won the gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Takeshita has won numerous awards and honors throughout her career, including the MVP award at the 2008 World Grand Prix and the Best Spiker award at the 2010 Asian Games. She was also named the MVP of the Japanese V.League in 2011. Takeshita is currently a member of the Hisamitsu Springs team in the Japanese V.League. She is also a member of the Japanese national team. Takeshita is married to fellow volleyball player, Takahiro Yamamoto. The couple has two children.

On 28 September 2012 JT Marvelous announced her retirement. On 21 June 2013 Takeshita was selected to become a member of the directors of Japan Volleyball Association.

2004

She played for the All-Japan women's volleyball team and was a participant at the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2008 Summer Olympics and 2012 Olympics. At the 2012 Olympics, she was part of the Japanese team that won the bronze medal. She was also part of the 2010 Japanese Women's team that won bronze at the world championships, beating the US in the bronze medal match.
