Winifred Silverthorne is a British figure skater who competed in the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz, Switzerland. She was born on 3 March 1925 in Brighton, England. Silverthorne began skating at the age of seven and was coached by her father, who was a former professional skater. She competed in the British Championships from 1941 to 1948, winning the title in 1945 and 1947. In 1948, Silverthorne was selected to represent Great Britain at the Winter Olympics in St. Moritz. She placed 11th in the ladies' singles event. Silverthorne retired from competitive skating in 1950 and went on to become a coach and judge. She was a judge at the 1968 Winter Olympics in Grenoble, France. Silverthorne was inducted into the British Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 2002. She is currently 73 years old and her net worth is unknown.
