Wassila Hachchi is a Dutch former politician and former civil servant and Royal Netherlands Navy officer. She was born on 6 January, 1980 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. She is 40 years old. Hachchi studied at the Royal Netherlands Naval College and graduated in 2002. She then served in the Royal Netherlands Navy for four years, before leaving to pursue a career in politics. In 2006, Hachchi was elected to the Dutch House of Representatives as a member of the Labour Party. In 2014, Hachchi was appointed as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Ministry of Defence, a position she held until 2018. On 20 January 2016 Hachchi claimed to have left the House of Representatives to join the Hillary Clinton presidential campaign, 2016,. Her sudden leave from the House and lack of communication caused some commotion. She was succeeded in the House by Salima Belhaj. In April 2016, she declared she renounced her D66 membership.
