Walter Lambertus is a Romanian rower who was born on 14 August, 1955 in Romania. He is a two-time Olympic gold medalist, having won gold in the men's coxless fours at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles and the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. He also won a bronze medal in the men's coxless fours at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Lambertus began his rowing career in 1975 and competed in his first international competition in 1978. He was part of the Romanian team that won the gold medal in the men's coxless fours at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. He also won a bronze medal in the men's coxless fours at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Lambertus is married and has two children. He currently lives in Romania and is a member of the Romanian Rowing Federation. He is also a member of the International Olympic Committee.
