Vic Rauter is a Canadian sportscaster who was born in 1955. He is best known for his work on TSN, where he has been a mainstay since 1985. He has also worked for CBC Sports, CTV Sports, and The Sports Network. Rauter is a graduate of the University of Toronto, where he earned a degree in physical education. He began his broadcasting career in 1978, working for CKBB-AM in Barrie, Ontario. He then moved to CTV Sports, where he worked from 1980 to 1985. Rauter has been with TSN since 1985, and has been the host of the network's flagship show, SportsCentre, since its inception in 1989. He has also hosted the network's coverage of the Olympic Games, the Grey Cup, and the World Junior Hockey Championship. Rauter has won numerous awards for his work, including the Canadian Association of Broadcasters' Gold Ribbon Award for Best Sports Broadcaster in Canada in 2000. He was also inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2004. Rauter is married to his wife, Susan, and they have two children. He is 65 years old.

In addition to his curling coverage for TSN, Rauter has covered auto racing and soccer since 1986 as well as hockey, baseball, bowling, squash, volleyball, cycling, rugby, equestrian and skiing. He was the first host for the CFL on TSN from 1987–1991.
