Vera Alentova is a Russian actress who has been active in the entertainment industry since the 1960s. She is best known for her roles in films such as Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears (1980), The Irony of Fate (1975), and The Meeting Place Cannot Be Changed (1979). Alentova was born on 21 February 1942 in Kotlas, Arkhangelskaya oblast, RSFSR, USSR (now Russia). She studied at the Moscow Art Theatre School and graduated in 1965. Alentova has appeared in over 100 films and television series. She has won numerous awards, including the People's Artist of the USSR (1985), the Order of Friendship (1996), and the Order of Honour (2006). Alentova is married to actor and director Oleg Tabakov. They have two children, a son and a daughter.
