Valerio Checchi is an Italian cross-country skier who has competed since 2000. He won a bronze medal in the 4 x 10 km relay at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin. He also won a bronze medal in the 4 x 10 km relay at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 in Sapporo. Checchi has won two individual World Cup races, both in 2005. He also has two individual podiums, both in 2005. He has also won two individual Italian championships, in 2005 and 2006. Checchi is married to fellow cross-country skier Arianna Follis. He is currently a member of the Italian national cross-country ski team.
