He attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied jazz and classical guitar. After graduating, he joined the band Boston in 1976. He has been a member of the band ever since, and has contributed to all of their albums. In addition to his work with Boston, Landers has released several solo albums, including "Tim Landers" (1985), "The Other Side" (1987), and "The Best of Tim Landers" (1995).
