He is also the founder of the Telman Ismailov Foundation, which provides support to the needy and disadvantaged in Azerbaijan. Ismailov was born in Baku, Azerbaijan, in 1956. He graduated from the Azerbaijan State Oil Academy in 1979 and began his career in the oil and gas industry. Ismailov is a philanthropist and has donated millions of dollars to various charities and causes in Azerbaijan.
