Tammy Gambill is an American figure skater who was born on October 16, 1957 in the United States. She is a three-time U.S. national champion and a two-time World bronze medalist. She is also a two-time Olympian, having competed in the 1984 and 1988 Winter Olympics. Gambill began skating at the age of seven and was coached by Carlo Fassi and John Nicks. She won the U.S. national title in 1979, 1981, and 1982. She also won the bronze medal at the World Championships in 1981 and 1982. Gambill competed in the 1984 and 1988 Winter Olympics, finishing in sixth and seventh place, respectively. She retired from competitive skating in 1989 and began coaching. She has coached many skaters, including Michelle Kwan, Sasha Cohen, and Evan Lysacek. Gambill is married to former figure skater and coach, Doug Ladret. They have two children. She currently resides in California.
