Tal Selley is a British singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. He is best known for his work with the band The Leisure Society, which he formed in 2006. He has released four albums with the band, and has also released two solo albums. Selley was born in Pembroke Dock, Wales, and grew up in the nearby town of Milford Haven. He began playing music at an early age, learning the guitar and piano. He attended the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, where he studied music and composition. Selley has released two solo albums, The Art of Losing (2009) and The Art of Living (2011). He has also released four albums with The Leisure Society, The Sleeper (2008), Into the Murky Water (2010), Alone Aboard the Ark (2013) and The Fine Art of Hanging On (2016). Selley has also composed music for film and television, including the BBC series The White Queen and the feature film The Riot Club. Selley is married to singer-songwriter and actress, Lucy Rose. They have two children.

A regular for Wales on the IRB Sevens circuit, Selley remained the Wales national rugby sevens team's top try scorer with 60 tries, before being overtaken by Luke Morgan in 2016, and also the countries top point scorer in IRB Sevens history. He played in the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games.

2009

Selley is a World Champion, when despite the odds of 80-1, Wales triumphed in Dubai in March 2009 and were crowned 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens champions. Selley also had the honour of being named "2009 Player of the Tournament", an award previously won by Lawrence Dallaglio (1993), Jonah Lomu (2001) and Waisale Serevi (2005).

Selley toured with Wales to Argentina, South Africa, United States, and Canada and scored a try on his senior international debut for Wales in 2005 versus the United States in Hartford, Connecticut.
