She is best known for her work on the films The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), The Howling (1981), and The Hills Have Eyes (1977). Macek began her career in the early 1970s, working as a costume designer for the horror films The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes. She also worked as an actress in the films The Howling and The Hills Have Eyes Part II. In addition to her work in film, Macek has also worked as a miscellaneous crew member on various television shows, including The X-Files, The West Wing, and The Practice. Macek has been married to her husband, John Stauch, since 1975. Together, they have two children. She currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
