Anthony began his career in radio in the late 1970s, working at various stations in Montreal. In 1984, he joined MuchMusic, where he hosted the popular music video show Electric Circus. He also hosted the MuchMusic Video Awards in 1995 and 1996. In 1997, Anthony left MuchMusic to join MuchMoreMusic, where he hosted the show Steve Anthony's Music Mix. He also hosted the MuchMoreMusic Video Awards in 1998 and 1999. In 2000, Anthony left MuchMoreMusic to pursue other interests. He has since hosted a variety of television shows, including the Canadian version of The Weakest Link, and has appeared as a guest on various talk shows. Anthony is also an accomplished musician, having released two albums, and has written and produced music for television and film.
