Stephen Rowbotham is a British rower who won a gold medal in the men's quadruple sculls at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He was born on 11 November 1981 in Swindon, Wiltshire, England. He is the son of John and Sue Rowbotham. Rowbotham began rowing at the age of 15, and was part of the Great Britain junior team from 1998 to 2000. He was part of the British team that won the gold medal in the men's quadruple sculls at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. He also won a bronze medal in the men's quadruple sculls at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Rowbotham is currently a member of the Leander Club in Henley-on-Thames, and is a member of the Great Britain senior rowing team. He is also a member of the British Olympic Association.
