Simon Climie is an English songwriter, record producer, and musician. He is best known for his work with the duo Climie Fisher, which he formed with Rob Fisher in 1987. He has also written and produced songs for artists such as George Michael, Eric Clapton, and Rod Stewart. Climie was born in Fulham, London, and grew up in the nearby suburb of Barnes. He attended the Royal College of Music in London, where he studied classical piano and composition. After graduating, he began working as a session musician and songwriter. In 1987, Climie formed the duo Climie Fisher with Rob Fisher. The duo released two albums, Everything and Love Changes Everything, which spawned the hit singles "Love Changes (Everything)" and "Rise to the Occasion". In the 1990s, Climie began working as a producer and songwriter for other artists. He wrote and produced songs for George Michael, Eric Clapton, and Rod Stewart, among others. He also wrote and produced the hit single "2 Become 1" for the Spice Girls. Climie has also released several solo albums, including Soul Inspiration (1995) and Soul Inspiration 2 (2005). In 2013, he worked on production and mixing of Eric Clapton's album Old Sock, which shot to number one in the American Billboard Independent Chart in March 2013 after hitting number seven in the Billboard 200 In 2014 Climie was co-producer again with Eric Clapton of the album The Breeze: An Appreciation of JJ Cale, a tribute to Clapton's long time friend, the late singer/songwriter J.J. Cale.

2011

In 2011 success continued with Climie's songs. Sara Evans was in the American country music charts for more than six months with "My Heart Can't Tell You No", and Chris Medina – who had already reached number one in a number of territories round the world with his first single – collaborated with Climie on his second single, "One More Time", and several songs on the album What Are Words.

Together with U2 member Larry Mullen, Jr., Climie has co-written the movie score and theme for Man on the Train (2011 TriBeCa Productions film) in which Larry stars with Donald Sutherland.

1992

After leaving EMI and the final Climie Fisher album Coming in for the Kill, Climie signed to Sony's Columbia label as a solo artist, releasing an album called Soul Inspiration in 1992.
