Shekhar Ravjiani is an Indian singer, songwriter, composer, and music producer. He is best known as one half of the music director duo Vishal-Shekhar, along with Vishal Dadlani. He has composed music for several Bollywood films, including Dostana, Om Shanti Om, Tees Maar Khan, Student of the Year, Chennai Express, and Happy New Year. Ravjiani was born on 29 November 1978 in Kutch, Gujarat, India. He is the son of a Gujarati family. He attended St. Xavier's High School in Mumbai and graduated from the University of Mumbai with a degree in commerce. Ravjiani began his career as a playback singer in the early 2000s. He made his debut with the song "Tere Liye" from the film Veer-Zaara. He then went on to sing several other songs, including "Koi Kahe Kehta Rahe" from Dil Chahta Hai, "Tumse Milke Dil Ka Jo Haal" from Main Hoon Na, and "Tere Bina" from Guru. In 2001, Ravjiani formed the music director duo Vishal-Shekhar with Vishal Dadlani. The duo has composed music for several Bollywood films, including Dostana, Om Shanti Om, Tees Maar Khan, Student of the Year, Chennai Express, and Happy New Year. Ravjiani has also composed music for several television shows, including Indian Idol, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and Nach Baliye.
