Sergey Dyozhkin is a Russian animator, director, and screenwriter. He is best known for his work on the animated films The Snow Queen (1966), The Ugly Duckling (1969), and The Tale of Tsar Saltan (1975). He has also directed several animated television series, including The Adventures of Mowgli (1973–1975) and The Adventures of Buratino (1976–1977). Dyozhkin was born in Moscow, Russia. He graduated from the Moscow State University of Printing Arts in 1962, and began working as an animator at the Soyuzmultfilm studio. He worked on several animated films, including The Snow Queen (1966), The Ugly Duckling (1969), and The Tale of Tsar Saltan (1975). Dyozhkin has also directed several animated television series, including The Adventures of Mowgli (1973–1975) and The Adventures of Buratino (1976–1977). He has also written several books on animation, including Animation: A Guide to the Art and Technique (1984). Dyozhkin has won numerous awards for his work, including the USSR State Prize (1975), the Order of the Red Banner of Labour (1977), and the Order of Friendship of Peoples (1985). He is currently a professor at the Moscow State University of Printing Arts.
