Serge Proulx is a Canadian cyclist who was born on 8 July, 1953 in Canada. He is best known for his achievements in the sport of cycling, having won the Canadian National Road Race Championship in 1981 and the Canadian National Time Trial Championship in 1982. Proulx began his cycling career in the late 1970s, competing in local races in the Montreal area. He quickly rose to prominence in the sport, winning the Canadian National Road Race Championship in 1981 and the Canadian National Time Trial Championship in 1982. He also competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, finishing in the top 20 in the road race. Proulx retired from competitive cycling in the late 1980s and has since become a cycling coach and mentor. He is currently the head coach of the Canadian National Cycling Team and has coached several Olympic and World Championship medalists.
