Romero Lubambo is a Brazilian jazz guitarist, composer, and arranger. He is best known for his work with the likes of Herbie Hancock, Michael Brecker, and Joe Henderson. He has also released several solo albums and collaborated with many other jazz musicians. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Lubambo began playing guitar at the age of nine. He studied classical guitar at the National School of Music in Rio de Janeiro and later studied jazz at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. In the early 1980s, Lubambo moved to New York City and began performing with jazz greats such as Herbie Hancock, Michael Brecker, and Joe Henderson. He has since performed and recorded with many other jazz musicians, including Wynton Marsalis, Chick Corea, and Wayne Shorter. Lubambo has released several solo albums, including “Romero Lubambo” (1995), “Solo” (1998), and “Live at the Blue Note” (2001).
