Rocky Morton is a British film director and producer best known for his work on the Super Mario Bros. movie. He was born in 1955 in England, United Kingdom. Morton began his career in the film industry in the late 1970s, working as an assistant director on a number of British television shows. He then moved into feature films, directing the cult classic The Return of Captain Invincible (1983). In 1993, Morton co-directed the live-action adaptation of the popular video game Super Mario Bros. The film was a critical and commercial failure, but has since become a cult classic. Morton has since gone on to direct a number of other films, including the horror film Anaconda (1997) and the science fiction film Johnny Mnemonic (1995). He has also directed episodes of the television series The X-Files, Millennium, and The Outer Limits. Morton is currently 68 years old and his net worth is estimated to be around $2 million.
