Rob Wilfong is an American professional golfer who has been playing on the PGA Tour since 1978. He has won two PGA Tour events, the 1985 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic and the 1987 Honda Classic. He has also won two Champions Tour events, the 2003 SBC Senior Classic and the 2004 SBC Senior Open. Rob Wilfong was born on September 1, 1953 in Pasadena, California. He attended the University of Southern California, where he was a member of the golf team. He turned professional in 1977 and joined the PGA Tour in 1978. Rob Wilfong has earned over $3 million in prize money on the PGA Tour and Champions Tour. He has also been a member of the United States Ryder Cup team in 1985 and 1987. He currently resides in Palm Desert, California.

After graduating from Northview High School (Covina, California), Wilfong started his pro career in 1973 with the Twins organization. He made his big-league debut in 1977 and was with the Twins until a trade sent him to the Angels in 1982, reuniting Wilfong with his first Major League manager, Gene Mauch. Wilfong helped the Angels win the American League West Division in 1982 and 1986. Wilfong was the ALCS game 7 starter at 2nd base, but had to come out of the game due to injury. He was replaced by Rick Burleson. The Angles would lose the game and the series to the Red Sox. He finished his career in 1987, playing two games for the Giants. After his playing career, Wilfong became an area scout in Southern California for the Detroit Tigers. In 2012, he was listed as a scout by the Angels, based in San Dimas, California.
