Richie Dunn is an American former professional ice hockey defenseman who played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Buffalo Sabres, Hartford Whalers, and New York Rangers. He was born on May 12, 1957 in Boston, Massachusetts. Dunn was drafted in the first round, sixth overall, by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1977 NHL Amateur Draft. He played in the NHL for 11 seasons, from 1977 to 1988, and was a member of the Sabres' 1979–80 Stanley Cup championship team. He was also a member of the Whalers' 1985–86 Adams Division championship team. Dunn retired from the NHL in 1988 and returned to his hometown of Boston, where he became a successful businessman. He is the founder and president of the Richie Dunn Hockey School, which provides hockey instruction to children and adults. As of 2021, Richie Dunn's net worth is estimated to be $2 million.
