Reg Presley was an English singer-songwriter and musician best known as the lead singer of the 1960s rock and roll band The Troggs. He wrote and sang their hit single "Wild Thing" and other hits such as "Love Is All Around" and "With a Girl Like You". Presley was born in Andover, Hampshire, England, and grew up in nearby Kingsclere. He began his career as a singer in the early 1960s, performing in local clubs and pubs. In 1964, he formed The Troggs with Ronnie Bond, Pete Staples, and Chris Britton. The band had a string of hits in the mid-1960s, including "Wild Thing", "With a Girl Like You", and "Love Is All Around". Presley continued to perform with The Troggs until the early 2000s. He also released several solo albums, including Reg Presley's Country & Western (1975) and Reg Presley's Rock & Roll (1977). Presley died in 2013 at the age of 71. He was survived by his wife, Olive, and their two children.
