Raj Khurana is an Indian politician and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was born on 2 September 1956 in Rajpura, India. He is currently serving as the Member of Parliament from the Patiala constituency in the 17th Lok Sabha. Raj Khurana completed his Bachelor of Arts degree from Government College, Rajpura in 1976. He then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from Panjab University, Chandigarh in 1978. Raj Khurana has been actively involved in politics since the 1980s. He was first elected to the Punjab Legislative Assembly in 1985 and served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for three consecutive terms. He was also the Minister of State for Education in the Punjab Government from 1997 to 2002. In 2014, Raj Khurana was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from the Patiala constituency. He was re-elected to the 17th Lok Sabha in 2019. Raj Khurana is married to Mrs. Raj Khurana and the couple has two children. As of 2021, Raj Khurana's net worth is estimated to be around $1 million.

Raj Khurana contested his first election to the Punjab Vidhan Sabha in 1992 from Rajpura as a candidate of the Indian National Congress. In 1997, he lost to Balram Das Tandon of the BJP, but defeated Tandon in 2002. In 2006, following differences with the Congress leadership, he joined the BJP and was granted the party ticket in 2007, which he won. In 2012, he lost the election to Hardial Singh Kamboj of the Indian National Congress.
