Peter Toohey is an Australian former cricketer who played in two Tests and three One Day Internationals (ODIs) for Australia. He was born on 20 April 1954 in Blayney, New South Wales, Australia. Toohey was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-pace bowler. He made his first-class debut for New South Wales in the 1975–76 season and went on to play for them until the end of the 1982–83 season. He made his Test debut against India in the 1977–78 season and his ODI debut against Pakistan in the 1979–80 season. Toohey's highest Test score was an unbeaten 75 against India in the 1977–78 season. His best bowling figures in a Test match were 4/50 against India in the same season. In ODIs, his highest score was an unbeaten 33 against Pakistan in the 1979–80 season and his best bowling figures were 3/37 against the same team in the same season. Toohey retired from cricket in 1983 and is currently a cricket commentator and coach. His net worth is estimated to be around $1 million.
