Oscar Salazar is a Venezuelan professional baseball player who currently plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was born on June 27, 1978 in Caracas, Venezuela. Salazar began his professional career in 1997 with the Venezuelan Summer League. He then moved to the United States in 2000, playing in the minor leagues for the Dodgers. In 2003, he made his major league debut with the Dodgers. Salazar has played for the Dodgers, Baltimore Orioles, and San Diego Padres. He has also played in the Venezuelan Winter League and the Dominican Winter League. Salazar is a career .258 hitter with a .310 on-base percentage and a .372 slugging percentage. He has hit 28 home runs and driven in 140 runs in his career. Salazar is married and has two children. He is currently 45 years old.
