Orrin Devinsky is an American neurologist and epileptologist. He is the director of the Comprehensive Epilepsy Center at NYU Langone Medical Center and a professor of neurology, neurosurgery, and psychiatry at NYU School of Medicine. He is also the founder and director of the NYU Langone Epilepsy Center. Devinsky was born in Brooklyn, New York, and attended the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his bachelor's degree in 1979. He then attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where he received his medical degree in 1983. He completed his residency in neurology at the University of California, San Francisco in 1987. Devinsky has authored or co-authored more than 500 articles, book chapters, and books on epilepsy and related topics. He is the editor-in-chief of the journal Epilepsy & Behavior and the author of the book, "The Epilepsy Diet Treatment: An Introduction to the Ketogenic Diet." Devinsky is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Epilepsy Society, and the American Neurological Association. He is also a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology. As of 2021, Orrin Devinsky's net worth is estimated to be around $2 million.
