2012

Tayeri in 2012 by order of Dr. Ghadimi, President of Iran's Interuniversity Committee, appointed as head coach of Iran's Students' football national team. He chose Behnam Taherzadeh and Amir Kavoosi as his assistant coaches.Iran's Students' national team, under managing of Tayeri became the champion of this tournament.

2011

In 2011, Majid Aghajeri resigned as head coach at the end of the tenth week of the first league. After this, the club officials selected Omid Tayeri as head coach until the end of the season.

2009

He the went to Iran's League 2 and took over as head coach of Esteghlal Qazvin and ranked third in Group D of 2009–10 Iran 2nd Division.

2008

After a year of coaching in Mes Kerman, Ghalenoei became the head coach of Esteghlal in 2008 and decided to have Tayeri as an assistant coach.

2007

He was also the head coach of Esteghlal U-23 team in Iran's football youth first division on 2007.
