Nitin Saxena is an Indian mathematician and computer scientist. He is currently a professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He is known for his work in the field of cryptography and computer security. Saxena was born on 3 May 1981 in Allahabad, India. He received his B.Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 2002. He then went on to pursue his M.Tech. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the same institute in 2004. Saxena received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley in 2008. His doctoral thesis was titled "Cryptographic Protocols for Secure Computation". Saxena has published several papers in the field of cryptography and computer security. He has also served as a reviewer for several international journals and conferences. Saxena is currently a professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He is also a visiting professor at the University of California, Berkeley. Saxena has received several awards and honors for his work in the field of cryptography and computer security. He was awarded the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize in Science and Technology in 2018. He was also awarded the Infosys Prize in Mathematical Sciences in 2019.
