Nicolás López is a Chilean writer, producer, and director. He is best known for his work on the films Aftershock, Sex, Party and Lies, and The Green Inferno. He has also directed the films Promedio Rojo, Que Pena Tu Vida, and Que Pena Tu Boda. López was born in Santiago, Chile in 1983. He studied film at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He began his career in the film industry in 2003, working as an assistant director on the film Promedio Rojo. He then went on to write and direct his own films, including Aftershock, Sex, Party and Lies, and The Green Inferno. López has won several awards for his work, including the Goya Award for Best Latin American Film for Aftershock, the Goya Award for Best Spanish Language Foreign Film for Sex, Party and Lies, and the Goya Award for Best Spanish Language Foreign Film for The Green Inferno.
