Nicky Siano is an American DJ, producer, and club owner. He is best known for his work in the 1970s at the legendary New York City nightclubs, The Gallery and Studio 54. He was one of the first DJs to use multiple turntables and mix records together. Siano was born in Brooklyn, New York, and grew up in the Bronx. He began DJing at the age of 15, and by the age of 17 he was spinning at the legendary New York City nightclub, The Gallery. He quickly gained a reputation as one of the best DJs in the city, and was soon spinning at other clubs such as the Electric Circus and the Loft. In 1977, Siano opened his own club, Studio 54, which quickly became one of the most popular clubs in the city. He was known for his innovative mixing techniques, and for playing a wide variety of music, from disco to funk to rock. In the 1980s, Siano moved to Los Angeles and opened a club called The Limelight. He also began producing music, and released several singles and albums. In the 1990s, Siano returned to New York and opened a club called The Roxy. He also continued to produce music, and released several more singles and albums. Today, Siano is still active in the music industry, and continues to produce music and DJ at clubs and events around the world. He is also the founder of the Nicky Siano Foundation, which provides music education and mentorship to young people.
