Neelam Kothari

Aunt is actress Kati (Ketty) Irani. She starred in several films. Kati was engaged to actor Mahesh Anand in 1991.

Starrred in the shelved film Khoon Jawab Degaa (1989). Starring Chunky Pandey, Sumeet Saigal,Neelam,Vinod Mehra, Aruna Irani, Sudha Chandran. Produced by R.K.Handa.Directed by Sisir Misra .The film was eventually shelved due to Neelam not giving dates . She claimed Sisir Mishtra gave her a raw deal in Biloo Badshah. She was unhappy how her role shaped up.

She is an actress, known for Hatya (1988), Laat Saab (1992) and Doodh Ka Karz (1990).

Was engaged to Govinda in 1986. But Govinda's mother was against the relationship.

Could not speak Hindi when she entered films in 1984.

Came to Bombay in 1983 to visit her grandparents. She made friends with Shrishti Behl who lived in the same apartment building as her grandparents. They became good friends playing tennis every day. Shrishti's father was famous Bollywood director Ramesh Behl.After seeing Neelam, he kept insisting she star in his new film Jawaani. Neelam's parents refused as they were not interested in Hindi films. Finally they consented and Neelam signed the film.

Maternal aunt name is Shehnaz Irani. She was a struggling actress in the 1970's and early 80's. Another maternal aunt is Mona. A maternal uncle named Merwan.
