Nafees Ahmad is an Indian politician and a member of the Indian National Congress. He was born on 8 July 1980 in the city of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He is currently the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Lucknow West constituency. Nafees Ahmad completed his schooling from St. Francis College, Lucknow and then went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Lucknow. He then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in Political Science from the same university. Nafees Ahmad has been actively involved in politics since his college days. He was the president of the student union at St. Francis College and was also the president of the student union at the University of Lucknow. He was also the president of the Uttar Pradesh Youth Congress. Nafees Ahmad was first elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 2012 from the Lucknow West constituency. He was re-elected in 2017 and is currently serving his second term as an MLA. Nafees Ahmad is married to Dr. Shabnam Ahmad and the couple has two children.
