From Faisalabad, Punjab, Mohammad made his first-class debut during the 1999–2000 season, playing twice for REDCO Pakistan Limited in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. His List A debut came the following season, when he played five matches for Faisalabad in the 2000–01 One Day Tournament.
