He is the founder and CEO of the venture capital firm Najmi Ventures, which invests in early-stage startups in the Middle East and North Africa. He is also the founder of the Moroccan startup accelerator, Startup Maroc. Najmi was born in Khouribga, Morocco, and grew up in Casablanca. He attended the University of Paris-Sorbonne, where he earned a degree in economics and finance. After graduating, he worked in the banking sector in Morocco before founding his own venture capital firm in 2012. Najmi has invested in a number of startups in the Middle East and North Africa, including the online marketplace Jumia, the online payment platform Paymob, and the online travel agency Tripo. He has also invested in a number of other startups in the region, including the online education platform Edraak, the online marketplace Souq, and the online marketplace Noon.
