Miroslav Knapek is a Czech rower who was born on 3 March, 1955 in Brno, Czechia. He is a two-time Olympic medalist, having won a silver medal in the men's coxless fours at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow and a bronze medal in the men's coxless fours at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. Knapek began his rowing career in 1975 and competed in the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, where he finished in sixth place in the men's coxless fours. He won his first international medal in 1979, when he won a bronze medal in the men's coxless fours at the European Rowing Championships in Bled, Yugoslavia. Knapek retired from competitive rowing in 1985 and has since become a rowing coach. He is currently the head coach of the Czech National Rowing Team.
