Miller Anderson is a Scottish blues-rock guitarist, singer, and songwriter. He is best known for his work with the British blues-rock band Savoy Brown, and for his solo albums. He has also worked with many other artists, including the Keef Hartley Band, the Spencer Davis Group, and the Animals. Anderson was born in Houston, Renfrewshire, Scotland, on 12 April 1945. He began playing guitar at the age of 12, and by the age of 15 he was playing in local bands. In 1965, he joined the Keef Hartley Band, and in 1967 he joined the Spencer Davis Group. He left the group in 1969 and joined Savoy Brown, with whom he recorded several albums. In the 1970s, Anderson left Savoy Brown and began a solo career. He released several solo albums, including Bright City (1971), Live at the BBC (1972), and Live in London (1973). He also worked with the Animals, and in the 1980s he joined the band again for a tour. In the 1990s, Anderson returned to Savoy Brown and recorded several albums with them. He also released several solo albums, including The Lost Album (1995) and Live at the BBC (1996). Anderson continues to perform and record, and in 2020 he released his latest album, Bright City Revisited. He is currently living in London.
