Mikail Shishkhanov

Shishkhanov is the majority shareholder (59, 4%) of B&N Bank (Public Joint-Stock Company) and the co-owner of the B&N non-state pension capital fund “SAFMAR” (100% affiliated with B&N Bank), European pension fund, private pension fund “Doverie”, private pension fund “Obrazovanie i nauka” and private pension fund “Regionfond”) jointly with the members of Gutseriev family. He has five children, four daughters, most are anonymous except for one, Nicole Shishkhanova, born on the 7th of April 1997, who has once performed in the Russian ‘Tatler Ball.’ On the 27th of July in 2000, he had his first and only son Albert Shishkhanov who is presumed to carry on his fathers legacy in the near future.

Since 1992, Mikail Shishkhanov has combined his study with work for B&N Industrial and Financial Company. During a short period of time, he took the position of General Director. In 1994, he joined B&N Bank where he held various positions from the Head of Interbank Relations Department to the Vice President and Deputy CEO. Shishkhanov has been President and CEO of B&N Bank since January 1996 to July 2015. Today Shishkhanov is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of B&N Bank and the Chairman of the Management Board of MDM Bank. Shishkhanov is an active participant in the banking community: Member of the Board of Russian Bankers’ Association and Moscow Banking Union. Shishkhanov is the author of two monographies and a set of books in economics and law.

Mikail Shishkhanov was born on August 6, 1972 in Grozny (capital city of the Chechen Republic, Russia). In 1995 he graduated from Peoples’ Friendship University named after Patrice Lumumba with a master's degree in economics and law and in 2000 - Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. Shishkhanov is a Doctor of Economics, Ph.D. in law, Associate Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Chechen.
