Michael Klein is a Hungarian-born poet and professor. He was born in 1958 and is currently 65 years old. He is a professor of English at the University of Pennsylvania, where he has taught since 1988. He is the author of several books of poetry, including The Garden (1995), The Burning Mystery of Anna in 1951 (2001), and The Thousand Wells (2008). He has also published several books of criticism, including The Poetry of Menander (1995) and The Poetry of Catullus (2005). Klein has received numerous awards and honors for his work, including the National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship in Poetry, the Pew Fellowship in the Arts, and the Pushcart Prize.
