He has also written for the films The X-Files: Fight the Future and The X-Files: I Want to Believe. Anderson was born in St. Joseph, Missouri, and graduated from the University of Missouri in 1994 with a degree in journalism. He began his career as a freelance writer for the television series The X-Files in 1995. He wrote several episodes of the show, including the Emmy-nominated "Triangle" and the series finale "The Truth". In 2000, Anderson wrote and produced the feature film The X-Files: Fight the Future. He also wrote and produced the 2008 film The X-Files: I Want to Believe. In addition to his work on The X-Files, Anderson has written for the television series Millennium, The Lone Gunmen, and Harsh Realm. He has also written for the video game The X-Files: Resist or Serve. Anderson is currently working on a new television series, The After, which is set to premiere in 2015. As of 2021, Michael K.
