Matt Schobel is a former American football tight end who played in the National Football League (NFL) for seven seasons. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played college football at TCU. Schobel attended Columbus High School in Columbus, Texas, where he was a two-sport star in football and basketball. In football, he was an All-State selection and was named the District MVP. Schobel played college football at Texas Christian University (TCU). He was a two-time All-Conference selection and was named the team's MVP in 2002. Schobel was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the third round of the 2003 NFL Draft. He played for the Bengals for four seasons, from 2003 to 2006. He then played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2007 and the Carolina Panthers in 2008. He retired after the 2008 season. Schobel is currently the head coach of the football team at his alma mater, Columbus High School. As of 2021, Matt Schobel's net worth is estimated to be roughly $2 million.
