Masami Tachikawa is a Japanese professional basketball player who currently plays for the Yokohama B-Corsairs of the Japanese B.League. She was born on November 16, 1980 in Yokosuka, Kanagawa, Japan. Tachikawa began her professional career in 2002 with the Shiga Lakestars of the Women's Japan Basketball League (WJBL). She then moved to the JBL Super League in 2004, where she played for the Hitachi Sunrockers. In 2008, she joined the Yokohama B-Corsairs, where she has been playing ever since. Tachikawa has been a member of the Japanese national team since 2003. She has represented Japan at the 2006 FIBA World Championship for Women, the 2008 Summer Olympics, the 2010 FIBA World Championship for Women, the 2012 Summer Olympics, and the 2014 FIBA World Championship for Women. Tachikawa is 1.78 m (5 ft 10 in) tall and weighs 68 kg (150 lb). She is married to fellow basketball player Takashi Ito.
