2017

Suda appeared in a biographical film about Hide of the group Greeeen. He and the actors playing the rest of the group released an EP, Green Boys, in 2017. Suda released Play, his first solo album, in March 2018. His second album, Love was released in July 2019.

2016

In 2016, Suda appeared in the web miniseries Death Note: New Generation and its subsequent film and in Setoutsumi. The following year he starred in Wilderness, receiving the Japan Academy Film Prize for Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role. Suda appeared in the 2018 live-action version of My Little Monster, and voiced Shazam in the Japanese-dubbed version of the 2019 film.

2008

Suda was scouted by talent agents when he was in middle school. In 2008 he went to several auditions, and was a finalist at the Amuse 30th-anniversary audition and the 21st Junon Superboy Contest. Suda signed with the Topcoat agency under the stage name of Masaki Suda. He was cast as Philip in the long-running tokusatsu series, Kamen Rider, moving from Osaka to Tokyo to make six Kamen Rider films between 2009 and 2011. Suda's performance was well received, and he was cast on several television series. His first major film role after Kamen Rider was Toma Shinogaki in The Backwater. Suda starred in the live-action version of Daily Lives of High School Boys, which was released in October 2013. The following year, he had a supporting role in The Light Shines Only There. For this performance, Suda received the Best New Actor award from the Tama Cinema Forum. In 2014, he appeared as Akuma in the television drama Shinigami-kun. The following year, he played Karma Akabane in his second live-action manga version: Assassination Classroom.
